Built since 1997 on a former railway line with 90% stone dust along 77 kilometres of path and contains a maximum grade variance of 2%, the Parc linéaire des Bois-Francs for the most part passes through the Saint Lawrence Valley which is composed of wide plains and panoramic views offering cyclists a feeling of ultimate freedom.

The path is crossed by numerous brooks and rivers and many of the entrances to the bridges have been prepared as rest areas. The running waters bring freshness and diversity to the landscape as well as adding an interesting element to the journey.
